Latest Functionality:
SAP has delivered a standard functionality to enable determination of RO/SO from LE shipping point by delivering a new customizing in S/4 HANA 2023 EWM. With this configuration, it is possible to enable the mapping of the LE shipping point location to the existing RO/SO field in the EWM delivery without usage of Badi /SCWM/EX_DLV_OFFICE_DET, when customer use multiple S/4 Shipping point or Goods receiving point for a single Warehouse. For customers < S/4 HANA 2023, they have to use the existing Badi mentioned in note 2595038 - The determination logic of shipping office in ODO. This functionality is very useful for the scenarios like 'One EWM warehouse Connected to Multiple Plants and it is imperative to transfer LE Shipping points and EWM ODO can incorporate it.
New customizing:
SCM Extended Warehouse Management--->Interfaces---> ERP Integration---> Delivery Processing--->Configure Mapping of Shipping Points from ERP System to EWM
Pre-Requisite:
To enable this functionality, there must be an entry for the shipping points and the receiving points in table /SAPAPO/LOCMAP for the corresponding shipping points and receiving points in the S/4 system. For this, its mandatory to create location for Shipping point via report SE38- /SAPAPO/CREATE_LOCATIONS.
In the below example, a S/4 RO is replicated
This report enables to create 'Location( Type 1003) from S/4 Shipping point as EWM knows Location not shipping point.
The table /SAPAPO/LOCMAP is updated with EWM location with Suffix 'SP_4(Char S/4 SO/RO)= SP_71A1 in the above example having location type =1003
During creation of S/4 delivery with the shipping point 71A1, EWM picks the Location as GR office with SP_71A1. If the configuration is not maintained, the default determination is from SCU having attribute of RO/SO.
Logic behind the determination:
In Class /SCWM/CL_MAPIN, a new method has been introduced 'HEADER_SHIPPING_POINT' .The new method is called within existing method CREATE_HEADER (/SCWM/CL_MAPIN) which populates the shipping point/ Goods receiving point in EWM ODO from delivery save replica FM.
Within this method it is checked whether the mapping of shipping point and shipping point location is active. If yes, the table /SAPAPO/LOCMAP is read, and the corresponding shipping point location is received and prepared to be persisted as shipping office (/RO/SO).
Note: With this new change, the creation of a Hierarchy /SCMB/SCUHIERMAIN - Supply Chain Unit: Hierarchy is not mandatory.
